Ingredients
- 1¼ pounds broccoli crowns, cut into florets (about 8 cups)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3–4 tablespoons garlic powder
- Large pinch of dried crushed red pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Spread broccoli on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with a large pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper.
- Roast for 15 minutes.
- Remove the sheet from the oven. Sprinkle with the garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
- Return to the oven and roast until the broccoli is beginning to brown, about 5–8 minutes longer.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
